How to Update an iPod Touch

The iPod Touch is a portable media player produced by Apple that has many of the same features as an iPhone. The device allows users to connect to a WiFi network, surf the Internet, send and receive email, and download and watch movies or listen to music. Similar to personal computers, the Apple engineers are constantly making corrections and adding functionality to the iOS that runs the software applications installed on the iPod Touch. When there are enough upgrades created, the company releases a software or firmware update for the device. When this occurs, a common task for end-users is updating the iPod Touch.

Steps to Update the iPod Touch
Step 1 – Open the iTunes application on the computer that you synch with the iPod Touch.
